Welcome to the revamped Holmes Message Board. This board is a merging of the old Holmes GenConnect Boards and the Ancestry.com Holmes message board. You may now post all of your queries and data about the Holmes surname on this one board. When you post a new message, please be sure to find the drop down menu for the classification of the post. The default position for right now is for queries. Hopefully they will change this to "query". Other classifications to use are Bible, biography, birth, cemetery, census, death, deed, immigration, lookup, marriage, military, obituary, pension, and will. By classifying your post correctly, other researchers will be able to search just on wills, obits, marriages, etc. Also please notice the surname box. Please include ONLY the surnames that are included in the message. DO NOT include all of the names you are researching. Otherwise people will find your post in their searches and it won't have anything to do with what they are looking for. Please type the names with a comma and a space inbetween. i.e. Holmes, Homes. Check under "admin info" for messages from your administrator. Once all the glitches are fixed by the management team, this should be a great message board.
