    3. I'm wearing my listowner's hat now, so please read this, everyone: I've gotten several requests to change people's addresses lately. Now I don't mind doing it, in a pinch, but it's so easy that I'd really rather you do it. Simply send an unsubscribe message to Holmes-L-request@rootsweb.com (or substitute a D if you're on digest) from your OLD address. Then from your NEW address, send a subscribe message to the same place. I will be happy to help if you suddenly find yourself with only a new address, but if you're like me, you'll keep the old one for a while, until you get everything sorted out. And that brings up something else. I have a slew of queries posted all over the country, for Holmes and for all the other surnames I'm researching. What I've been told is that it's far easier all 'round if I simply resubmit those queries under the new address. So I'm sharing the advice. And reminding you that if you change ISP and consequently your email address, don't forget to do that too. Rootsweb has a great page where you can check and see other postings you may have made and some of them can even be edited. And last but not least, if you ever have need to see my genealogy page it's now at www.hevanet.com/gladhaus/genealog.html It includes everything I know about my Holmes line, as well as my husband's father's line, some other useful genealogy info and a link to the "5,000 Ways to Make a Living" list that one of our (anonymous) members compiled and allowed me to post.
