Hello List, I have found, listed in the Edwards Funeral Home Records Book, a funeral record for: Corbit HOLMES, b. June 23, 1895, d. Feb 5, 1982 It says that his fater was William HOLMES and his mother was Lela FLOWERS. Then, in another funeral Home records book (I failed to take note of the name of it, but will go back next week and get that), I found listings of 2 children for the above. Please notice that I'm spelling the name EXACTLY as it is spelled on the records: Billy Roy HOLMES, b. Mar 3, 1939, d. May 7, 1960 (father--Corbett Holmes, mother--Mildred Shults) (says he was single) Donald Ray HOLMES, b. Apr 10, 1942, d. Dec 16, 1942 (father--Corbat Holmes, mother---Mildred Shults) **I find it intersting just how often the given name has been mis-spelled!** Ok, I know that these folks are connected somehow with my HOLMES line, but just not sure yet. The reason for the big question, is that the name of Corbit is a new one to me. I have not run across it before this.
