Springfield, OR The Register Guard March 9, 2001 The funeral will be held March 10 for BELLE L. HOLMES of Springfield, who died March 6 of age-related causes. She was 96. She was born August 21, 1904, in Weston, CO, to WILLIAM and ELIZABETH NEWMAN LEA. She married FLOYD HOLMES in Walsenburg, CO. He died July 1, 1971. Survivors include a daughter, VIRGINIA SOUTHWORTH of Springfield; a son DONALD of Butte Falls; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
