I'm looking for any information on Hugh HOLMES, resident of Newcastle, ME. Hugh was a 1st Lieutenant in a local militia and also a Continental Army unit. Hugh was of Scot-Irish descent and may have been born in or around Bristol, Maine ca 1735. He married widow Mary HOPKINS ca 1760. thanks, Charles
