I "think" that I might be chasing the Joseph HOLMES and Johnna KINGSBURY line--parents of Sibyl HOLMES who marr. Jonathan COBB in 1798 in Norfolkd Co MA...but..not sure. I am not sure about all this, but it looks like Jon. and Sibyl had a daughter named Amelia Sibyl COBB who married Jesse HOLMES and they "migh" be the parents of my Henry HOLMES. Ohio? ,Howard 13 ILL ,Edwin J. 7 TX ,Clara 4 ILL Kramer, Phillip 32 Laborer Vermont ,Frank 26 Blksmth Vermont It appears that Mary, wife of Henry HOLMES, (might be Sarah Marie Brainerd- record in St. Louis MO- has Sarah Marie Brainerd marriage to Henry HOLMES on 12/26/ 1853) died between 1866 and 1868. In 1866 there was a child born , and in 1868 Henry Holmes remarried a Miss Julia SMITH in Harris County, Texas. 1880 Harris Co TX: HOLMES, H. 46 ILL ILL ILL ,Julia 32 LA ,Ed 16 Texas ,Clara 14 TX ,Jessie 2 TX ,Virg (Virginia) 3/12 Tx Likely that there is some connection with the Francis R Cobb that they are living with in 1860 Galveston Co Tx..and maybe with the Brainerd line... if Mary is the Sarah Marie Brainerd who married Henry Holmes in St. Louis MO in 1853 Love any help, ideas, thoughts, anything ...
