My ggggrandfather Elijah Holmes (wife Olive Ingalls) was born in Pomfret, CT in 1777 and came to New York about 1800. He settled in West Winfield and that farm is still in our Holmes family today. My line goes: Elijah, Alvah, Augustus Stephen, Allie, Edwin, Me. Is anyone out there related to this line? Would be interested in hearing from you. Lucy Stauring
