    3. Dear Ric, Boy, talk about coincidences, I have a g-g-g-grandfather named Frederick O. HOLMES who was KIA just after the Battle of Resaca, specifically at Pleasant Hill near Adairsville on May 17, 1864. Frederick was from Chicago, Ill and served in the 88th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. Was your ancestor Union or Confedrate? I hope they weren't shooting at each other!
