The following obituary was listed in the column for "Central, Vt." Luzena Holmes, widow of the late Albion Gray, died at her home Thursday noon of heart disease. Mrs. Gray was born in Dover, NH, 78 years ago last June, the daughter of Samuel and Lovey Thompson Holmes. In early childhood her parents moved to Jefferson [NH], where her younger days were passed. In 1853 she married Albion Gray, and after a brief residence moved to Lancaster, where their first child, Mrs. J. H. Streeter, now deceased, was born. Two years later they moved to Northumberland, where they lived until their removal to this town a few years ago. Patient, industrious, with a cheerful disposition and keen sense of humor, she was a kind neighbor, a true and faithful friend, an affectionate mother and grandmother. She leaves to mourn her loss, three sisters, Mrs. Lavina Summers, Mrs. Lorenzo Gray, of Jefferson, and Mrs. Jane Twombly, of Whitefield, one daughter, Mrs. Harry Ridgwell, and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the late home Sunday at 2 p.m., Rev. W! . L. Sizer officiating, J. M. Pendrigh, C. H. Schoff, John Call and Walter Booth acting as bearers.
