Does anyone have any information about HOLMES' in Greene County, New York in the early 1800's? I have a Samuel HOLMES, b. abt. 1812 in Greene Co., NY, married to (1) Harriet BARNES -- 3 sons: Henry (1837), William and Amos (1842) and married to (2) Harriet MADISON -- Emeline, Sarah, George. Samuel was born in Greene Co., NY, moved to Broome Co., NY 1830-1850ish and finally settled in Allegany Co., NY 1850-189?. Any info appreciated. Jim Holmes
