Judith, I just found a site that covers Alabama (and individual counties) that is great. I found a few listings for "HOOMES". I'm tellin' y'all, I'm so new at this, I had no idea there would be any variations in spelling!! As soon as I can figure out just where I was, and how I got there (I forgot to write it down), I'll post it to this list. It was a very informative and very easy site to use. I have tried several different methods to get a listing, address, name, just anything to make a contact with these people. There seems to be some errors in their listings as well. My great grandfather was from Wayne County, Ohio. I do not have a first name, only the initial A. He had a family of three girls and one son. His daughter Bessie J. was my grandmother. The son's name was Harley. The family moved to somewhere close to Ozawkie, Kansas. Would really appreciate any little nibble of info you can give me. Cannot seem to get a hit on them. Thanks Liz
