Hello to all, I'm researching my family and I'm really stuck finding info on my g. grandfather. Here's what I have so far: My grandfather was Stanley Holloway born in Mankato, Jewell Co., KS. m. Venita I. Sullivan in Reno, NV in c1939 and d. in 1946 in CA. They had 2 daughters, Rebecca Ann and Patricia Irene. Stan has a sister, Alma Holloway (who married Frank LaRosa) and a brother, Otha "Pete" Holloway. Stan's father was Joseph William Holloway b. Jan. 25th 1880 in KS, could have been in Concordia, Cloud Co.; Beloit, Mitchell Co.; Glen Elder, Mitchell Co.; or Ionia, Jewell Co.. Married Emma A. Reystead in Mankato, Jewell Co., KS on Jan. 4, 1905. Emma was born Feb. 26th, 1887 in Mankato, KS, d. in Ceres, Stanislaus Co., CA on Dec. 21, 1968. Joseph had 3 brothers, Frank, Eddie and Charles and maybe 2 sisters. A Pearl Phillips could have been a sister or a sister-in-law. Their mother may have been Rebecca Young. I've been told that this side of the family is of Scots ancestry. Do these Holloway's sound familiar to anyone? Thanks, Terry King taeking@televar.com
