In researching my family in Southside Virginia I found that my Great Great Grandparents were Susanna Elizabeth HOLLOWAY, b. ca. 1835, d. ca. 1901, and John Samuel DEWELL, b. 30 May 1829, d. 1 Mar 1914, who were married 1 Feb 1852. They were born and lived in Surry County Virginia although he died in Norfolk, VA. Susanna Elizabeth HOLLOWAY was the daughter of Alexander "Sandy" J. HOLLOWAY, b. ca. 1804, and Susanna Williams, b. ca. 1809. This is as far as I have been able to get so far. If anyone has additional information please contact me.
