This is merely what things would look like IF my Minter were the son of William (Billey) and brother of Barnes HOLLOWAY. Descendants of John HOLLOWAY - 20 Nov 1998 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- FIRST GENERATION 1. John HOLLOWAY. He was married. John HOLLOWAY had the following children: +2 i. Rev. William "Billy" HOLLOWAY. 3 ii. Joseph HOLLOWAY. SECOND GENERATION 2. Rev. William "Billy" HOLLOWAY was born in 1754 in Virginia. He served in the military between 1776 and 1778 in Cumberland County, Virginia.1,2 Billy enlisted in Cumberland County, Virginia, as a private in Capt. Flemmings' Company, Col. Dangerfield's Virginia 7th Regiment. He fought at the Battle of Trenton on 26 Dec 1776 under Gen. George Washington. He was at Brandywine Creek with General Washington on 11 September 1777 and at Germantown on 4 October 1777. He was billeted at Valley Forge on 19 December 1777. He was discharged 15 February 1778, but apparently served another tour in the militia in 1781. He applied for pension May 2, 1818, age 64, while living in Blount County, Tennessee. Billy moved to Blount County, Tennessee between 1809-1811. Billy, his brother Joseph and his son Barnes Holloway are listed among the early organizers of Six Mile Baptist Church when it was constituted in 1811. He was ordained as a miniters there in 1812. He and his sons were active in this church for 10-20 years. He died on 30 Apr 1831 in Blount County, Tennessee. He was married to Frances MEADOR before 1781 in Virginia. Frances MEADOR died after 1788. She was born in Virginia. Rev. William "Billy" HOLLOWAY and Frances MEADOR had the following children: 4 i. Sarah HOLLOWAY. +5 ii. Barnes HOLLOWAY. +6 iii. Minter HOLLOWAY. 7 iv. Christia HOLLOWAY was born about 1788 in Virginia. She died before 1831. 8 v. Edmond HOLLOWAY. He was married to Nancy Ann HOLLAND on 23 Jan 1809 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. THIRD GENERATION 5. Barnes HOLLOWAY was born on 16 Sep 1781 in Pittsylvania County, Pennsylvania. He died on 23 Jun 1849 in Cass County, Missouri. He was married to Sarah MCGILL on 1 Apr 1800 in Blount County, Tennessee. No proof of this marriage. Sarah MCGILL died in 1814 in Blount County, Tennessee. Barnes HOLLOWAY and Sarah MCGILL had the following children: +9 i. Thomas HOLLOWAY. +10 ii. Martha "Polly" HOLLOWAY. 11 iii. John HOLLOWAY was born in 1806. +12 iv. Sarah "Sally" HOLLOWAY. +13 v. William "Billy" HOLLOWAY. +14 vi. Fleming HOLLOWAY. He was married to Ruth WALLACE on 20 Jun 1816 in Blount County, Tennessee. Marriage ceremony performed by George Snider, J. P. Barnes HOLLOWAY and Ruth WALLACE had the following children: 15 i. David HOLLOWAY was born on 7 Apr 1818 in Blount County, Tennessee. He died on 1 May 1891 in Cass County, Missouri. 16 ii. Joseph HOLLOWAY was born in 1819 in Blount County, Tennessee. 17 iii. Lawson HOLLOWAY was born in 1820 in Blount County, Tennessee. 18 iv. James HOLLOWAY was born in 1822 in Blount County, Tennessee. 19 v. Jincey HOLLOWAY was born in 1823 in Blount County, Tennessee. 20 vi. Nancy HOLLOWAY was born in Blount County, Tennessee. 21 vii. He appeared on the census in 1830 in Monroe County, Tennessee. He was married to Marjory PATE (daughter of Matthew PATE). Marjory PATE4 was born about 1782 in Greene County, Tennessee. Minter HOLLOWAY and Marjory PATE had the following children: 23 i. HOLLOWAY was born between 1800 and 1810. 24 ii. HOLLOWAY was born between 1810 and 1815. 25 iii. HOLLOWAY was born between 1810 and 1815. 26 iv. HOLLOWAY was born between 1810 and 1815. 27 v. HOLLOWAY was born between 1815 and 1820. 28 vi. HOLLOWAY was born between 1815 and 1820. 29 vii.
