Hello everyone! I am new to the list & desperately seeking my ancesters. I am searching the following people: Sam Holloway b. abt 1837 His parents were Levi & Gensie Holloway. Sam married Mary Meeks b. abt 1847. Her parents were Dennis & Susie ( Susannah) Meeks. Sam & Mary had the following childern: Paul, Honis, Hamp, Sally, Tissue (Tisha), Martha (patsey) m. Pink Blue,Susanna Annie Elizabeth b.15 Oct 1874 in Douglasville, Ga m. William George or James Holloway, d. 26 Sept 1941. Annie is my g-g-grandmother. I am told William was her cousin. When William died she married another cousin James Jackson Meeks, because she had six childern to raise. Annie & William had the following children: Carrie Elizabeth Holloway m. Forest Edger Lee ( my great grandparents), James Samuel, Lilly, Lewis Morris, Alice, James Oscar.A lot of these Holloways were in Bibb Co, Macon, Ga. I am trying to prove indian heritage, I have family members who tell me they all were indian, but so far I can not prove it on paper.
