I have recently obtained a picture of John P. Holloway and acopy of his widows application to benefits from John's service during the Civil War. John's wife Eliza Ann (Elizabeth) applied for the benefits in Callahan County, TX. On the copy of the papers from the War Dept. it has his named signed both ways: Holloway and Holiway. Also in finding a picture of his brother, Sam, it seems that he chose the Holiway spelling for his surname. John is my gg grandfather. Later, I will post famliy members from the 1860 Georgia Census.
