    1. [HOLLOWAY-L] Unsubscribe
    2. Dear Gary, It's a sorry day when a simple book announcement is classified as a "controversy". What a dismal mind set for people with too much time on their hands. My publisher is amazed to learn that instead of saying thanks for all the hard word, a good many Holloways feel they're entitled to critique - and downright inquisition - my book, while it isn't even available yet. Lacking the brashness to write any author and the rudeness to tell them how to conduct their research, the insulting, presumptive innuendo of those who have penned such uncharitable emails is very disappointing. Indeed! While I am not dis-swayed by anyone's impoliteness, as before said (Apparently, I was talking to the wall.), I do not have time to start a writing campaign to defend - exhaustively documented and credited - scholarly research that needs no defense. If this book were a doctoral thesis, it would stand on its own merit. In all candor, it's of no consequence to me if anyone purchases "Holloways of England, Colonial Virginia and the South" or not. It is a LIMITED EDITION, and for all practical purposes is already pressed. Mary Hill's announcement on my behalf was an act of charity to merely inform others that a family book was being written. It is a shame, indeed, that the warring and abrasive climate of our times is such that far too many individuals can't refrain from offering their vain "2 cents worth" to the minutest of happenings. To these sorry folks, I say GET A LIFE. To the few who have written hopeful and encouraging letters, I say GOD LOVE YOU. To any who doubt the veracity of my words or the scientific intent and analytical method of my writing, I refer you to 400+ page book on the Mother of GOD, Holy Cross Press has placed online (with my permission) at http://starharbor.com/holycross/gospel.html. If you think I can pen such a detailed book as "Our Lady of Guadalupe The Last Gospel" out of love for God, and be any less thorough in writing of our holy ancestors for love of them, think again. This said, as I bid you "adieu" to work in peace, Gary, please pass my gratitude to the kind in your midst, and my prayers for conversion to those puffed up with themselves. Working to expose the TRUTH of our heritage, I suspect the fear of substantiated facts have unsettled the latter. So be it. In GOD is our Light, James David Holloway, Jr.
