John and Mary Holloway were living in Morgan County, Alabama in 1850 and 1860. Mary was a daughter of Henry Young of Virginia and Warren County, Tennessee. John died ca 1865. Would like to contact descendants of John and Mary. Their children Elizabeth who married Ezekial Basham, Henry, Martha, Jeremiah, Naomi, Nancy, Malinda, James, Darcus, and Mary A. The records I have come from census records and an estate settlement which list the children and some of the grandchildren of John Holloway. Recorded in this record in 1869, "it appears that John N. Holloway, Samuel Holloway, James Holloway, Nancy E. Holloway, Henry Holloway and Lewis J. Holloway are all minors under the age of twenty one years." Also mentioned, " Catharine Litteral wife of Goerge Litteral, .... Darcus Hawkins wife of the late Esau Hawkins. . . . . .,Both os whom reside in Lauderdale County in the State of Alabama, Henry Holloway, Martha Humphrey wife of Alsap Humbprey, Martha Holloway, Axey Holloway & Nancy Pruitt wife of James Pruitt, all of whom are over the age of twenty one years, all of whom reside in Morgan County, Alabama. Malinda Catharine Lee wife of ____ Lee, who was formerly Malinda Catharine Basham and the only duaghter of Elizabeth Basham now deceased (and wife of Ezekiel Basham also now deceased & formerly Elizabeth Holloway). Malinda C. Lee is over the age of 21 and a non resident of the state, but whose place of residence is unknown. The heirs of James Holloway decease (who was a son of said deceased) to with Mary Elizabeth Holloway, Martha, Sara, Mary C., JOhn E., Henry & Lewis J. HOlloway aoo of whom are minors under the age of 21. .......... All of whom are non residents of the state of Alabama, but whose exact place of residence is unknow. The heirs of Jerry Holloway deceased ( who was a son of said deceased) to wit. John N. Samuel * James Holloway all of whom are minors under the age of twenty one years old. All of several minors have no legal guardian and reside in Morgan County Alabama. They and they alone are the heirs & destributees of the said estate. All of which is respectfull submitted."
