Looking for any info. on the Holloways of Rapides Parish, La. Yankees burned our courthouse, so we have few records. A John Holloway settled here while La. was a Spanish Colony (abt. 1790). In 1811, A James Holloway, a Lt. of the Va. Line in the Revolution, claimed land here, as did another John Holloway, who had been a Pvt. in the 9th Penn. Rgt. during the Revolution. The older John was married to someone named Isabella and they were Calvanists. One of these had a son named Thomas and a daughter named Mary Juliett. Any leads would be appreciated...... Greg
