I am searching for information on a man named Jim Holloway. I believe that he was born about 1860 in Georgia. His father was a minister, born in Tennessee. His mother was born in Alabama. The family may have moved to Texas..........Jim committed a murder there about 1880. He was sent to prison but escaped along with another man who was named Dan Scott. Jim changed his named to "Walter Moore" and eventually made his way to Arkansas where he married Mary Jane Walker in 1882. They settled in Alexander Co, Illinois (extreme Southern part of state) and had nine children. "Walter" died there in 1924. It is rumored that he left a wife and child (or children) in Texas when he fled. If anyone has any information which might help me trace Jim Holloway, a.k.a.
