But one is still living from the list and I don't know how this e-mail will be return, as this is my first posting I have answered, and I don't want to be careless with other people's information, by getting them posted on the net, without permission. By the way one person from that list lived in Oklahoma City. Maybe this will help you in some way. I know we had cousins in the area of Fulton County, but how they are related and who they are I am still trying to research. Thank you for your posting. Peggy Holloway Thompson Goodrich Michigan

    1. [HOLLOWAY-L] Cherokee Holland
    2. Jim T Musgrave
    3. Maude Amanda America Holloway married a George Samuel Bruner per Starr's Old Cherokee Families genealogy. He was apparently a Cherokee. This is located at http://members.aol.com/rarebk where the Starr book is indexed, by surname, of the Old Cherokee families. Additionally, the 1835 Cherokee census is posted at the site, and a Cherokee genealogy tutorial that shows you how to do Cherokee genealogy research, and shows some sources. Once at the site, go to BOOKLISTS, scroll down to the Starr book, and invoke the index - LOTS OF NAMES. 1. [HOLLOWAY-L] Research Help
    2. Roselyn Shiver
    3. Hi Everyone: Kim Miller and I are both decendants of Susan Holloway and Philomen Bozeman, we try to collaborate with each other on finding those ellusive ancestors. We were hoping that everyone out there could benefit from knowing who else is on this list and what line they are researching. It would help in knowing who to turn to in desperation, which is where we are on Susan's parentage. We actually have two Holloway lines that we are not sure if they are connected or not. Susan Holloway who was married around 1873 in Edgefield SC to Philomen Bozeman. We believe her parents to be James Holloway and Mary Rowe. We also have a Mahulda Holloway born in 1765 in SC who married a John Pool. in 1781. Thanks for your help. Roselyn Shiver

    3. Hello All: A recent email mentioned Philomen Bozeman's sons who possibly went to Delaware, I descend from Philomen Bozeman and Susan Holloway and their sons do not fit this profile from the information I have, I could be wrong, often am, but I think their must be more than one Philomen Bozeman out there. Will anyone who has info on any Philomen Bozeman please either post it to the list or send it directly to me. Can you please include the time frame and location. Thanks for your help. Roselyn Shiver

    1. [HOLLOWAY-L] {not a subscriber} Obit for John Ray Holloway/ computer crash!
    2. Doris/Chuck Denton
    3. Hi everyone: I hope this information will be of interest to someone. It appeared in my local paper 8 Jan (The Contra Costa Times, Contra Costa Co., CA) and is a very long and detailed obituary. I'll just give the pertinent facts here, if anyone wants it I can send it by snail. John Ray Holloway, b 22 Oct 1923, Dewey OK. Son of John Ray Holloway, Sr. and Agnes Naomi Pryor. Lived in Springfield, MO til his father died (Jan 1925) then lived with grandmother, Mary Malissa Pryor in Northview, MO. Came to California (Long Beach)on his own in 1941. Married Marilyn Ann Mott 21 Dec 1947, San Francisco, CA. Lived in Pleasant Hill, Contra Costa Co., CA from 1949 to death. Two sons, Vance (m Nancy, son is Aldan) and Bruce (m Norma, children are Madeline and Geoffrey). Died 7 Jan 1999 at home; memorial services 9 Jan at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave., Walnut Creek, CA. No information as to burial. His wife survives him. Don't you wish everyone had obituries as complete as this? This one also has a great deal of material besides the above. On another note, my computer crashed just before Christmas. My last back-up had been 7 November, so everything was lost between then and 22 December. We didn't get it fixed until this week and the incoming e-mail (after 22 December) is probably intact. I would appreciate it if anyone who contacted me during the period 7 Nov to 22 Dec would send me copies. My particular interest is David Holloway who married Nancy Ann Phillips in Berlin, Worcester, MD in 1827. They moved to Rushville, Schuyler Co., in the early 1840's ?) and then came to California in 1853. Lived in Gilroy, Santa Clara Co., CA.
