    1. [HOLLOWAY-L] Levi, Radman, NJ, 1700's
    2. Elaine Waiters
    3. Hi Everyone, I am searching for any information on Levi HOLLOWAY (HALLAWAY in some records). I don't know where Levi was born. The first record I have of him in Morris County, NJ, is in 1768. He is also listed in the Poll List of Delegates from Morris County to NJ First Constitutional Convention, 1776. He died in 1782 in Morris County. Children: 1. Rhoda HOLLOWAY, m. Gabriel HUTCHINGS or HUTCHINS, a Rev War soldier. I believe they moved to PA, then to Ohio. Rhoda must have died before 1793 when Gabriel remarried. 2. Radman or Rodman HOLLOWAY, a minor at his father's death in 1782. His guardian was Thomas BONNEL, of Hanover. He was a tanner, currier and shoe maker. 3. Mary HOLLOWAY, b. 19 Apr 1763, d. after 25 Nov 1844, probably Milan, Huron Co or Erie Co, Ohio; m. George WAGGONER, 13 Aug 1782, Bottle Hill (now Madison), Morris Co, NJ. After the Rev War, they moved to NY, then to Ontario, Canada. After George died, Mary joined sons in Ohio. -------------------- I would love to find out more about this family--I'm at a dead end! Who was Levi's wife? Where was Levi born? What happened to Radman or Rodman HOLLOWAY? Has anyone out there seen ANYTHING on this family? Thanks! I appreciate any help. 1. [HOLLOWAY-L] HOLLOWAY, William, 1600's, MA
    2. Dear HOLLOWAY researchers, I've learned that William HOLLOWAY was the father of my 6th Great Grandfather Malachi HOLLOWAY and that William is noted in the Plymouth Colony Records as having been a Servant. I descend from William and second wife Elizabeth thru their son Malachi and then down through Malachi's daughter Hopestill HOLLOWAY and Joshua PIERCE. According to PCR1:74, In 1638, William Holloway was a former servant of William Basset and was beaten by Francis Sprague. Both men were fined (PCR 1:74). Does anyone have any further information on this? I know virtually nothing about Malachi and William.amd would be very appreciative if anyone could help me out on any documentary sources for William as Malachi's father and anything about their lives. Sincerely, Jeannie Winter (JWinter588@AOL.com) Any information would be most appreciated. Sincerely, Jeannie Winter

    3. Hi all, I am one of the "newcomers" to this list and am wondering if anyone on this list has HOLLOWAY's in Wiltshire, Eng. Mine come from Manningford Bohune, Wilsford. The earliest date I go back to is of a marriage in 1794 of Richard HOLLOWAY to Sarah SIMPER. Other surnames connected to my Holloway's are: SHORE, MACKLIN and HAWKINS. Thanks everybody. Sue Holloway (from hot Townsville, Queensland, Australia).

    1. [HOLLOWAY-L] Holloway mailing list
    2. Larry and Linda Dike
    3. Hi, My maiden name was Holloway. My father's name was Melvin Holloway,jr. His father was M.M. Holloway born about 1857 in Indiana(according to 1900 census). He was a brick layer and plasterer and went to Monette,Arkansas in 1915-1920. There he met and married my grandmother Mollie Baxley in 1919. They then moved to Oklahoma where he worked in his trade until 1923-24. Two children were born, Hazell Lee in 1921 and Melvin,Jr. in 1923. I have been told that M.M.Holloway died of TB when my dad was about a year old. Their mom then took the kids back to Ark. where she also died of TB. The kids were then placed in a Church of Christ Children's Home. I've also been told that M.M. had grown children in Oklahoma at the time he went to Ark. to work. I didn't mean to rattle on but I have heard from other researchers that you are the person to write to about Holloways. Please put me on your mailing list. I certainly need all the help I can get. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. 1. [HOLLOWAY-L] Bible List
    2. Linnea Marquis
    3. John Scott-Ferree I noticed with the list written in the Bible was the name of the minister but not the location..I suggest you might want to check with the historical archives for the state of R.I. In the early days of religous "freedom" in this country..the church or Societies as they were called were run by the state.. I should think that maybe with the ministers name, you might find out the location.. and be able to check church records for further info....I hope this helps..
