I am searching for Elijah D. Holloway. In the 1900 Jackson County, Arkansas census he said he was born in Mississippi in 1847. His father in South Carolina and his mother in Tennessee. I haven't been able to find him in any census but the 1900 census. I did find where he had married Mrs. Harriet McCollough in Iron County, Missouri in April 1880. They had two children in Missouri and two more when they moved to Arkansas. I am trying to find out if he is the father to my great-grandfather, Jake Holloway. My grandfather was born in Alicia (Lawrence County), Arkansas in 1895 and his father (Jake) died while he was a big baby. I was told Jake is bury at Centerville Cemetery in Jackson County. So far I haven't found anything on Jake, other than his name being on my grandfather's death certificate. I have looked in Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and Tennessee and can't find him anywhere. Is any of these names familiar to you. Thanks, Lorri

Help this is driving me crazy...still trying to locate the parents of Mahulda b.1765 in SC and married John POOL.For awhile it seemed like I had located them. Her parents being William Holloway and Martha Ballard.But that has turned out to be a brick wall and a thorn in my side...also still trying to find the parents of Susanna Holloway who married into the BOZEMAN line.Have been told that they were James Holloway and Martha ROWE/ROE but have again came up empty handed.Hoping someone out there might know something on these lines and will be able to help me solve the family mystery.

Hank, I only have one confermed Missouri Holloway in my family, that being my grandmother's sister and she married a Barry (Jud) Clark and had children: Clint, May, Pearl, and Religh. Does anyone have a Holloway/Warren connection in Tn. or north Ga.? My gggrandmother was a Francis Holloway[born ca.1818 in Walker co. Ga.] married to a John Thomas Warren. She was supposedly Native American. After she died he was said to have gone to Oklahoma to marry her sister Olive, having brought her back to Marion Co. Tn. When he died, Olive returned to Oklahoma, or west someplace. There has been nothing found to prove the existence of any of these people, except for Olive and her son, Sherman.
