Hi, I'm a librarian in Fresno, California. One of our library users has asked us where the actor Sterling Holloway is buried and I am hoping you may be able to help. We know he died in Los Angeles in 1992, but I have checked our sources on burial places of famous people and can't find him listed. Do you know? Thanks! I would like to know if anyone has infomation regarding a Thomas Holloway b. 1747 VA d. 9 Apr 1835 Orange Co. NC Looks like Thomas was married twice by what I have here-- Joanna Caine 5 Oct 1782 Orange, NC and Lydia Bryant 25 Aug 1808 Orange, NC; I am most interested in one of his sons named Bermillion Holloway b. abt 1770 NC m. Sarah Proctor 5 Feb 1798 Orange NC. I am confused here because I am told that Bermillion was the brother of one John Minter Holloway. Does anyone know anything about this? I am not sure how this all fits together. I am told that John Minter was most likely the son of Rev. William Holloway of Blount Co. TN. Not sure how he could be the brother of Bremillion Holloway, unless there were two Bremillion's--- In that case which is which? I am also told that John Minter may have been the father of my Jacob Holloway b.1800 TN/NC m. Elizabeth Simmons. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this for me--am I missing something here? Thanks Theresa-
I am looking for information on the family and ancestry of Richard Louis (or Lewis) Holloway. He was born January 14, 1825, location unknown, and married Mary Elizabeth Lyon (1839 - 1917) on February 14, 1856. Around this time, they were living in Florida, but I believe that they moved to Florida from another state. Their children were: 1.Lula Florida Holloway: born December 17, 1856; married Ozias A. Buddington on November 4, 1877; remarried a Mr. Baker; died February 16, 1946 2.George Ransom Holloway, born December 8, 1858; married Susie Emma Langford on January 8, 1880 3. Osca Tillman Holloway, born December 21, 1860 4. Emma Lee Holloway, born May 16, 1864; married Bartola Hartley on Jan 11, 1881 5. Rhoda Holloway, born May 28, 1866; married Elmer Bruce Neff 6. Frederic Emil Holloway, born April 23, 1870 7. Winona Holloway, born June 30, 1872; married David M. Knight on April 6, 1891 8. Raymond Leslie Holloway, born November 10, 1880 Richard Louis Holloway died on August 8, 1884. His family lived in Green Cove Springs, Florida at that time (Clay County). He died intestate, and his succession was opened in Clay County. I believe, however, that he died in another Florida county. Any information on this family would be appreciated.

I'm trying to make the connection between HOLLOWWA and HOLLOWAY. My surname is HOLLOWWA. I have never been able to find any HOLLOWWAs other than descendants of my great grandfather, Elisha Dotson HOLLOWWA. Many of the census reports, etc. show HOLLOWAY where I know they were HOLLOWWA including my grandfather Robert Raymond. The 1860 Lewisville TX Census shows E.D. (Elisha Dotson) as age 49 and birthplace Tennessee. That age agrees with other records and birthdate 1811. The same census shows six children, Mary Jane, Robert Raymond, Rue A., James Martin, Lusinda, and Armsted as all being born in Arkansas. Does anyone have a Tennessee, or any connection, with Elisha Dotson HOLLOWAY/HOLLOWWA? Any information on the six HOLLOWAY/HOLLOWWA children in Arkansas? Thanks, G.C.Hollowwa
