Barbara, Where did you find Anne Savoie's birthdate given? I corresponded with Mark Savoy (presumably one of the Savoie descendants), and he told me that her birthdate was Abt. 1767. I have never been able to verify that, however. There is no evidence that these are ancestors of the entire Hoffpauir line. Rather, they are the ancestors of just a small portion of the Hoffpauir family.... fortunately (for me) that is part of my line. I can supply a bit more about the Benoit/Savoie connection, but since it is not of interest to the entire mail list, it would probably be better if we corresponded directly. BTW, I have a photocopy of the Rosemary Hoffpauir book, that I bought at a small library in Wallisville, TX.
