Mr. Hoffpauir died Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999, in Vinton. A native of Lafayette, he was a resident of Vinton. He was a longtime employee of Texaco Research in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a Mason. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Port Arthur and First Baptist Church in Vinton. Survivors include one son, Frank Hoffpauir of Vinton; one daughter, Carolyn DeWitt of Houston; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
