Looks like we're reading off the same page...literally, page 94 of Fontenot/Freeland. BTW, I've driven around this area north of Rayne, all the way to Church Point. What I took to be Bayou Wikoff (not marked) didn't seem to be much more than a gulley (may have been different 200 years ago). I didn't get off on any side roads to try to locate the the Francois/Amelia property.
