Linda I am certain that Thomas would have baptized his children Catholic as it was necessary for them to inherit property. However I do not believe that it was a true conversion but was only for convienence. He and his wife raised their children in a largely Protestant community and only many generations later did several members convert to Catholic, usually while marrying Catholics. You would not believe how many Methodist ministers have come from the Hoffpauir line. I met the female minister at the Hoffpauir reunion, I believe last year or the year before. Felton
