Charlie et al, I left this out of the last correspondence. The info on Mattie came from the Geesey Ferguson Funeral Home records in Crowley. Their records say she was buried in the Indian Bayou Cemetary. So it is either unmarked or has been moved to another cemetary out of the area. This happens a lot around here. As families move off I guess they want to take grandma with them. I have found several obits stating one buriel place & find them relocated to another. This controversy over Marie Catherine Perriard is interesting. There is no doubt that that was her name as she is mentioned as Amelia's mother at her marriage and Thomas's wife in the 31 May 1828 suit filed at St Landry. She is related to the Couvillion (Quevillion) that settled Avoyelles Parish. He was either her uncle or great uncle I am tryng to locate the book on that family. It could explain how she got here. I believe Thomas Hoffpauir was found under a rock in South Louisiana. Felton
