    1. RE: Austin E Dailey clan

    3. My info differs slightly from yours. First that is the first time I have seen Austin with the initial "E" and the first time I have ever seen Aunt Ruth with the first name of Hazel. My mother, Vera Faulk Williams, knew all of her mothers brothers and sisters, having been born in 1918, she grew up knowing all of them. Their were only six children by Mary Eudora, and they were: Aaron, Avery, Isabelle (my grandmother), Ruth, Julia, and Iva. I have never heard of Pearl or Alma. I have a picture of all six taken in the early forties and when I find it I will post it on the internet. As for his first wife I differ in the spelling and her parents. Mother spelled it Malenion and had her as an older sister to Mary Eudora. Mother got much of her information from first hand experience and from one of Malenion's grandchildren, a Petry, which one I don't know at the moment. I remember one of "Samantha's" sons coming to one of our Austin Dailey reunions in St. Martinville, probably in the late 70's or early 80's. I think they called him Larry. Since I have been unable to prove that Malenion and Mary Eudora were sisters I can't be sure that Malenion is her real name nor that she was the daughter of Asa Hoffpauir and Johanna Perry. Either Melinda Anne or Malenion is another example of someone spelling as it sounds. The two names appear to be the same. Roy Williams
