    3. Here is the obituary for my Aunt Jewel that appeared today in the Lake Charles American Press. Aunt Jewel was the youngest child of my grandparents, Lulu Hoffpauir and Ivy Hoffpauir. Aunt Jewel's first husband, Joseph Rothkamm, died in 1945. She and her second husband had no children, but of course, Eugene really seemed my uncle and the father of my cousins, since I was only 6 when Joe Rothkamm died. Funeral services for Mrs. Jewel Ruth Hoffpauir Guillory, 82, of Vinton, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 27, in Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Hoffpauir will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Crowley. Visitation is 2 - 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Guillory died at 5:18 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2000, in a local hospital. A native of Crowley, she had lived in Vinton since 1950. She was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Sam LeBoeuf of the Vinton Repair Shop and Horseman Benevolent Protective Association at Delta Downs, Inc. She was a lifetime member of the Vinton PTA. She established the Junior Garden Club of Vinton. She was one of the first three women to arrive in Cameron to assist victims of Hurricane Audrey in 1957. She was a Methodist. Survivors include her husband, Louis Eugene Guillory; one son, Clarence E. "BooBoo" Rothkamm of Baton Rouge; one daughter, JoAnne Guidry of Vinton; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
