Why I think Elizabeth Ann Hoffpauir is a wife of Alexandre (common law or legal) is that Acadia Par marriage # 10612 has Combs Hoffpauir (age 23 s/o Alexander & Elizabeth Hoffpauir) marr 5 Jun 1920 in Indian Bayou to Lela Abshire (age 26 d/o Gus & Dovie Hoffpauir) This is the only Combs Hoffpauir I have ever found & fits her son in the 1900 Vermilion Parish Census. Also the clerk was careful to record the mother's maiden name during this period of time. Alexandre & Elizabeth Anne Hoffpauir also had a son named Edward Hoffpauir b 7 Jan 1894 d 22 Oct 1993 bur Rayne Methodist Cemetary. He married abt 1920 to Amy Wagner b 7 Mar 1898 Ward Two, Vermilion Parish d 22 Mar 1978 Rayne bur Rayne Methodist Cemetary. Does anyone know their date of marriage & place?
