Does anyone know the parents of Lawrence? Bonnie -------- Lawrence Hoffpauir SCOTT - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2000, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Lawrence Hoffpauir, 75, who died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2000, at Lafayette Guest House West. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Ted Broussard, associate pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the services. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Pellerin of False River; two sons, Joseph Floyd Hoffpauir of Scott and Paul Calvin Hoffpauir and his wife, Judy, of Lafayette; one stepdaughter, Leona Savoie and her husband, Frank, of Scott; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rita Duhon, Audrey Steward and Fannie LeGrange; and five brothers, Harold, Raoul, Chester, Leroy and Noah Hoffpauir Jr. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Felicie Hoffpauir; his second wife, Emily Hoffpauir; his parents; two sons, John Ricky and Melvin Hoffpauir; and one brother, Moise Hoffpauir. A native of Carencro, Mr. Hoffpauir was a resident of Scott for 20 years. He was the son of the late Noah Hoffpauir, a native of Bristol, and the former Ida Miller, a native of Cankton. Mr. Hoffpauir was a veteran of military service having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Hoffpauir was employed by Patterson Truck Lines for several years. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Community of Scott. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home in Scott. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and to continue from 8 a.m. today until time of the services.
