Hoffpauir folks If possible please send a photo copy of the loose pages in the Bible to Charlie Hoffpauir so he can post it to his web page. I saw this Bible in the late 1960's when it was in the posession of Donald Hoffpauir who lived on Street of Love in Lafayette. He offered to give me the Bible back then but I was afraid I was not responsible enough for such a rare posession (I was about 23 or 24 at the time. It was probable a good thing, as I moved 9 times after that. When I moved to Lafayette in 1981, I contacted Donald to inquire about the Bible and he said he had given it to a cousin in Oklahoma and it was probably now in Lake Charles. I have wondered ever since what happened to it. Although not descended from Franc(o)is Hoffpauir, there were listings for Jacob Higginbotham & his children from whom I am descended. I would love to have a photo copy of the loose pages & the pages included in the Bible if possible. It would be also a great source for Charlie's web page. I remember it was in good shape although the loose pages were faded. Just a little history for you beginners. Lucky for me I did have enough since to hand copy the pages, as copy machines were scarce in those days. Felton
