    3. Barbara, FWIW, I have the Dec 1859 date also. It is listed that way in the 1900 Census. However, I realize that the census dates are often very wrong, so her actual dob could have easily been in 1858. My only point in the earlier post was that a census taker was not likely to place twins (abt 1 or 2 years old) as born about 1 year apart. I see from this morning's post that Sharon has Malissa's dob as 1958 from her headstone. Unless someone finds a birth record somewhere, we'll probably never be absolutely sure in which year she was born. But I guess the evidence is pretty good that she and Starkus were not twins. And BTW Sharon, the new millennium doesn't start for nearly a year <g>.
