Charlie, Correction: May Beals, the wife for about 5 years of Erasco J. Hoffpauir, was born in Jasper County, Iowa in 1879, not in Alexandria, LA. Her name was not Mary. The marriage record in Acadia Parish may have been misread by whoever submitted the information to Rev. Hebert for his books. Also, she died in Jackson, LA where she was a patient in the East Louisiana Mental Hospital. Her burial was in Jennings, LA with services at the First Presbyterian Church.
