This Bible has entries on the Higginbotham and Hoffpauir families as it apparently was purchased shortly after the marriage of Jacob Higginbotham and Mary Charlotte Foreman Hoffpauir (widow of Francois Hoffpauir). The title page of the Bible says that it was printed in New York. It says it was "Published by Thomas Mason and George Lane for the Methodist Episcopal Church, at the Conference office, 200 Mulberry Street, James Collord, printer; 1837" One of the family pages lists births as follows: Charlotty Higginbotham was Born 21st of February in The year of our lord 1790 Thomas Hoffpauir was born The 1st day of January in the Year of our Lord 1806 Ephraim Hoffpauir was born In the 3rd day of august in the year of our lord 1809 J.
