Hello Hoffpauirs, After several years of researching, I have located the E. J. Hoffpauir that I thought was lost forever! Do any of you anything about the following Mr. Hoffpauir? Any minute bit of information will be appreciated. E. J. Hoffpauir: Erasmo J. Hoffpauir, born 1877 [I need the date and place] died May 29, 1942 in Abbeville, LA son of James and Melinda Meaux Hoffpauir had a stepmother and two (or more) stepbrothers and may have had stepsisters that I don't know about. lived in Indian Bayou, LA in his youth was a big redhead, thus earning him the nickname, "Red." was a traveling journalist; printer 1905 - worked for the Abbeville Meridional as a printer and in 1920 became the editor until 1934 This is all I know about E. J. Hoffpauir. I would like to know where he was educated, where he lived, what his father did for a living, how E. J. became involved in printing, and if he was a Methodist. Some stories claim that he studied for the ministry. Many thanks, Alma B. Reed email: JohnR25442@aol.com
