Hi David, Thank you so much for posting the info. I love original documents and usually copy the pages into my program. Would there be any way I could get a copy of the original page in the handwriting and color. I would be more than happy to send you some money to have it scanned and to mail it to me. HI all! I love this idea. Was putting one together myself, but we now a vehicle. Thanks Sharon. I would like to add one idea which I posted on my page. My aunt is slowly giving me old photos and there are children and adults whose names we are not certain of. So I was hoping this kind of site could give us all the chance to identify people in such photos. FYI I will be posting more photos of Malissa and Frank when young and group shots of their family. My aunt also has a wonderful photo of Monaoh I (1828--1898) - a great photo!! My grandfather had the picture as he was named after him. We also have an old picture of a hotel owned by Hoffpauir's in the 1800s. I don't have the name or location with me, but I hope to also post it on the board. Does anyone know which Hoffpauir's owned such a place? There are lots of people on the porch posing and I will blow this up and try to get some faces for us to view. Also horses and buggies. What fun! Since several seem to want the entries in the Family Bible, will send it to all this way. In this note, will send the entries on one of the pages and will send the other pages later. This Bible has entries on the Higginbotham and Hoffpauir families as it apparently was purchased shortly after the marriage of Jacob Higginbotham and Mary Charlotte Foreman Hoffpauir (widow of Francois Hoffpauir). The title page of the Bible says that it was printed in New York. It says it was "Published by Thomas Mason and George Lane for the Methodist Episcopal Church, at the Conference office, 200 Mulberry Street, James Collord, printer; 1837" One of the family pages lists births as follows: Charlotty Higginbotham was Born 21st of February in The year of our lord 1790 Thomas Hoffpauir was born The 1st day of January in the Year of our Lord 1806 Ephraim Hoffpauir was born In the 3rd day of august in the year of our lord 1809 J. There was at one time several loose pages of genealogy in the Bible. these pages included the birts of Jacob Higginbotham's children. Are these pages still in the Bible? If so, could you post that information also as it pertains to Hoffpauir descendants. Felton

David, I would like to be included to receive the information. I descend from Elizabeth/Thomas/Francois. Thanks, Gene
Hey David , Been getting these updates for a while and yours interest me. My Dad is a Spell and his Mom was a Hoffpauir. She died at 102. Would like to hear your infomation. Dad knows quite a few of the Hoffpauir in Charlie's section. If you don't mind send me some of that information please. I'd like to show it to him and check his memory out. Which is very good and sharp. Thank You Brenda Spell Beard David Hoffpauir wrote: > Charlie, > > Actually the data was recorded by my mother when my parents were visiting > with A. H. Hoffpauir. David, Thanks for that information, I'll correct my source information to reflect your mother, rather than your grandmother. I'm sure everyone would be interested in the information. do post it to the list, if you can (the list won't accept graphics or attachments, so that limits what we can do). I would think this is the same information that you gave me copies of when you visited a few years ago? I have some source data recorded for John Hardy Hoffpauir and his family that lists the source as John Hoffpauir's Bible. Does anyone on the list have access to a copy of the information from that Bible, or know where the Bible now is located? I did find this in some of my documentation.... "A number of vital records were transcribed from the Bible that was once the family Bible of John Hardy Hoffpauir. When this Bible was in the possession of A. H. Hoffpauir (now deceased) the records were transcribed by Ruth Dailey, wife of Travis Benson Hoffpauir." Ruth Dailey is my Aunt, and the grandmother of David Hoffpauir, so I am sure that David gave me the information from the Bible, but it would be nice if we could locate the actual Bible. -- Charlie Hoffpauir http://web.wt.net/~charlieh/
