    3. Ken Robinson - I think the Thomas Hodges m. Rebecca Calaway may have been the one I found information on and submitted to this list several years ago. You may get it through searching the archives. I spent one Thanksgiving holiday time in the library at Appalachian State University (2nd floor) in Boone, Watauga County, North Carolina copying info on Hodges families in that area. If memory serves, that Thomas is believed to have come over the mountains during the American Revolution as he was a "Tory". Anyway, there are different schools of thought on that. Maybe he previously lived in Surry County, NC. I will dig up this info later. I am in the middle of holiday "stuff" now. The Boone Co. of NC is full of Hodges even today. There is a Realtor who was running for Co. Commissioner when I was there on one occasion. Several areas or streets by the name of Hodges and Hodges Gap. Beautiful area. I even had my hair done by Jim Hodges whose mother is a P.E. teacher of professor at the college, ASU but she is from Cotton Valley, Louisiana which was the home area of A.J. Hodges the founder of Hodges Gardens (4,800 acre horticultural preserve) of great beauty. Cotton Valley, Louisiana is also the home of John C. Hodges, the now deceased professor of English at the Univ. of Tennessee (Knoxville) who had the University Library named for him. John C. Hodges is also the author of the book which is a required text of most college english classes.
