The occurrence of the peculiar name Sion Hodges (pronounced Shawn) in Marlboro County is interesting because the same name Sion P. Hodges occurs in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was a son of Moses Hodges, son of Edmund Hodges and Nephany Walker. The name recurs in that line. Anyone have an idea why?
