Aha....perhaps my William W. Hodges went to Kentucky for the water instead of the land? All I know for sure is that all secondary sources say he died in Harrodsburg in 1813 and that he was a Revolutionary War veteran, and that he had 7 sons: Benjamin=Jane/Jenny McCombs, Samuel Harvey = Martha Yates (Patsy) Shirley, Jesse, Thomas=Matilda Brown Lewis, John Pleasant, William, and David=Nancy Ann James.
