    3. Mary, It is good to hear from a cousin. Since you said, what you did, I remember that I think Al Metts published on the list about Nicholas Ware Hodges papers. I haven't updated my information yet. Yes, I am a direct descendant of Richard. My great grandmother Chambers on my mother's side was a Hodges. She and my great grandfather were married in Missouri and moved to Oklahoma. I never knew my great grandfather but I use to go to visit on occasions my great grandmother. She always lived in what seemed to me a huge house, which it was but as a small child, it was really huge). I would be very much interested in working with you. I have a private invitation-only site that I keep all of my information on my maternal side of my family which if you are interested, I will invite you. It allows whoever is part of it to post information upload files to it on the internet as well as download other information for your use. I have been working hard on my Bottoms side and haven't kept all of my records for the Hodges up-to-date. Is this the same Richard Hodges who was in Abbeville in the late 1700s, then went to Ripley Co., IN? If so, there are papers of Rev Nicholas Ware Hodges (son of Richard's brother James and Nancy Hodges) indicating that Richard's father was Richard, not John. As far as I know there is no legitimate proof that Richard's father was John. Perhaps you have found a new source to verify Richard's father as Richard! Interested in comparing notes? The Richard from Essex, Abbeville, and Ripley Co. comes through my paternal line. It seems this line has been kicked around at length for quite some time.
