Gerry, so glad you are high and dry. My niece is in Houston, and she was high enough to only have 7 in of water in her garage. I noted that you are doing research on McNutt. Are you in any way related to Bob Mc Nutt of Corsicanna who owns the Corsicana Bakery? I have been in contact with him but his line is Palmer. My Mc Nutt line is from New Brunswick. My Hodges Line is Seth T. Hodges of Macoupin Co Ill. I can't find his parents yet. He was the 1/2 brother to John Burleson of Alabama. I don't believe he is related to the NC Carolina Hodges, although a lister is convinced of that connection and had put it on her website. She hasn't proved it. I am working on the parental connection of his wife Mary Abigail Jefferson. Boy it is hard to do a female line. I have read you messages on the Hodges list over the year or so I have been on. I hope by reading the list I will find the connections I need. Glad you are dry and kicking. Marita Mc Nutt Gladson Fullerton,Ca
I appreciate your inquiry. As far as I know, the McNutt's that married into the HODGES family left Itawamba MS and come to Johnson Co. TX then went to Comanche Co., TX. I have not done much research on that line but I may have to start as I think it will give me more clues on some of my missing HODGES. I sent that message as a joke because things have been rather slow on our HODGES-L chat room. Thought it might perk things up a bit. About your Seth Hodges line, I have a copy of the Seth Hodges line that I received from a retired Navy fellow who lives in, I think, Port Wisby in the state of Washington. He sent me "snail mail" so I do not have his email address but I think he may be on the HODGES-L now but I am not certain. Anyway, I posted his line on this HODGES-L and you may find it through the archives. Also, you may find him through www.switchboard or some other such search engine. Thanks for your concern.
