SCMAR, Vol. IV, Spring 1976, No. 2, p.77 Died at Greenwood, Abbeville District, S.C., on the 7th ultimo, Rev. N. W. Hodges of the Baptist Church. The deceased was a graduate of the South Carolina College, and was one of the most zealous and useful clergymen in the state. He gloried in nothing save the cross of Christ and the salvation of mankind. A few weeks before his death, the companion of his bosom died in Fairfield District, leaving several small children (ibid.).
