Hi Listers: Have been seeing new names and Hodge lines of our Hodge list. Would like to repost my direct line and maybe some of the new listers will recognize some of the names in my line. FRANCIS HODGE Born: CA: 1750 ? Was one of the first in Middle TN (Now Davidson Co., TN) who helped build and defend Ft. Nashboro. FRANCIS HODGE died here in Middle TN 1828 and his will was recorded here in Davidson Co. He names his children and his second wife, Bridgett Malone (No issue) His children by his first wife (name unknown) were: Betsy Hodge Married: James Armstrong 9/30/1817 John W. Hodge Born: 1795 Married: Jane Carruthers 7/14/1818 James Hodge (My direct line) Born: 1/21/1774 (One record shows him born in Pennsylvania) Died: 12/30/1817 Davidson Co., TN Married: Nancy Becton 1/15/1797 Sarah Hodge Born: ? Died: 1828 Married: Robert Slaughter Robert Hodge Born: 1784 Died: 12/1/1852 Married: Nancy Lucas Born: 1804 Ft. Nashboro George Hodge Married: Betsy Mandley 12/8/1806 Priscilla Hodge Died: 7/27/1850 - ----------------------------------- Other Hodge notes indicate this Hodge family were from England Francis Hodge was awarded 640 acres in Davidson Co., TN by North Carolina Land Grant.
