Father of James Hodges, Jr. was James Hodges, Sr. b. 1714 and d. 1758 Pasquotank Co NC. His father was Joseph Hodges b. 1670 d. 1766. Married 3 times, Sarah, Martha and Mary. He fathered 7 sons and 1 daughter, lived in Norfolk, VA. His father was Roger Hodges emigrated to Norfolk Co VA and Isle of Wight Co VA from England. He m. Mary Manning and had 9 children.
