BUTLER, HODGES, JOHNSON, SONS, MUNDY TIMES-MAIL BEDFORD, LAWRENCE CO., INDIANA 1958 A. L. BUTLER DIES AT 71. Alonzo Lively Butler, 71-year-old carpenter who resided on Bedford, R. R. 2, passed away at 4:40 a.m. today at the home of a son, Fred Butler, 2110 Park avenue. Mr. Butler had been ill since February, this year. He was born February 1, 1887, in Hart County, Ky., to Soloman A. and Melissa HODGES Butler. He was married to Effie Johnson on May 29, 1909. Survivors include the wife; three sons--Glen of Oolitic, Fred of Bedford, and Harold of Oolitic Road, Bedford; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Sons, Bedford, R. R. 1; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Mundy, Bedford; three brothers--Bert Butler and Dave Butler, both of Norton Lane, Bedford, and Jack Butler of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Four sons preceded him in death. He was a member of the Trinity Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m at the Hilltop Chuch in Avoca, with Rev. James F. Ray and Rev. Charles Kern officiating. Burial will follow in the New Church cemetery near Fayetteville. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Day and Carter Mortuary, which is in charge of arrangements.
