    3. The following Francis in PA might be the father of the Francis who married Elizabeth Clack [Clark?] [[ Francis Hodge, York, Pa. (member of Warrenton Meeting House) dau. Jane b. 1736 md. Edward Everett on 11/9/1787.] Francis listed as landowner in tax list of 1768 in Cumberland Twp. (now Gettysburg)]] Following is more info on Francis and Elizabeth Clack: Scotch Irish Settlement in Virginia, Vol. 1, p.533 Package marked "Papers of No Particular File."--January 6, 1804. This writing is to certify that I, James Miller, having intermarried with Fanny Lindon, daughter of Molly Lindon, deceased, who was sister to Elizabeth Hodge, wife of Francis Hodge, also sister of Charles Clack: the said Fanny being sister to Joseph Lindon, late of Augusta County, who ran away upwards of eleven years ago from said County, being then about eleven or twelve years old, and has never been heard of since by any of his relations, and is therefore supposed to be dead, and there being a legacy belonging to the said Joseph if living, or if dead, as is supposed, to the said Fanny and the undersigned, as heirs of the said Joseph, said legacy issuing out of the estate of George Matlock, deceased, of the County of Louisa (relinquishes to James Brooks his right to administer on Joseph's estate).     3. Thanks for the information. Glad to know the names of the other children of Francis Hodges and Elizabeth Clack. It is believed that Francis was in Augusta County early on and the only other Hodges in that vicinity was a John Hodges. So it may be possible that he is the father.
