Hi Folks! I need to make contact with descendants of John Hodges and Nancy Ellen Cabean.....OR.... anyone who might have data regarding this family. I believe John may be my great-great-grandfather and am attempting to find more data to substantiate this belief. John Hodges was born circa 1825 in Indiana and died circa 1879. He was one of eleven known children of Allen Hodges and Sarah Allison. Allen was born ca 1790 in Tennessee and died 12 November 1873 in Galesburg, Knox Co., IL. John married Nancy Ellen Cabean on 15 April 1867 in Knox Co., IL . John was about 42 years old at the time of this marriage. It is my belief that John may have been married before. Does ANYONE have any data regarding a previous marriage? Does anybody have a copy of this marriage record of John Hodges to Nancy Cabean? Can ANYBODY shed any further light on this family?
